Mass-Produced Shoes

Carefree walking and a large selection of different shoes is a matter of course for most people. However, there are a number of diseases or foot deformities that make it impossible to wear standard footwear. In this case, at Basler Orthopädie René Ruepp, we offer a large selection of comfortable standard shoes tailored to your individual needs.

Indications of serial shoes

Orthopedic Shoes from Basler Orthopedic

The orthopedic series shoes are case-specific semi-finished products, which are equivalent to the orthopedic made-to-measure shoes and are recommended for patients for whom orthopedic shoe inserts are not sufficient. Orthopedic series shoes can be prescribed for indications such as disproportions, degenerative changes, arthrosis, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic or post-operative problems, as well as neuralgia and foot deformities. With the individual adjustment by a qualified orthopedic shoemaker, the symptoms mentioned can be treated more quickly, cost-effectively and economically.

Professional Customization of Series Shoes

From the certified master orthopedic shoemaker

Orthopedic series shoes are semi-finished shoes or ready-made shoes and are a precursor to orthopedic made-to-measure shoes. Serial shoes that are individually adapted to the patient are created with the help of orthopedic elements such as special footbeds, widened insoles, rolling aids and shaft adjustments, thus ensuring safe walking and freedom from symptoms. Serial, individually fitted shoes require a prescription and can be billed via IV, SUVA/UV. Series shoes take less time to manufacture and adjust than tailor-made shoes and can therefore be worn more quickly. The individual production is only adapted by an OSM (qualified master orthopedic shoemaker) and represents a more cost-effective solution with a high level of comfort compared to the custom-made shoe.
